In addition to her feature-length work, Bianca Gleissinger writes and directs documentary formats for culturally oriented television platforms such as ARTE.

She assumes full editorial responsibility for an episode — from research and treatment development through broadcaster feedback processes to greenlight.

She shapes the conceptual framework of the shoot, works closely with protagonists and experts on location, and develops the editing concept in advance, accompanying the narrative process in the cutting room.

She writes voice-over scripts and supervises the conception of animated sequences where required.

At the core of this work lies the precise integration of an author-driven perspective into the established grammar of an existing format.

I am currently developing original projects for broadcasters and streaming and am seeking collaborations as an on-screen author and host.

My interest lies in documentaries where presence matters — where the person in front of the camera is not ornamental but structurally embedded in the narrative.
